GESA Fundraising!

Help Us Bring Fire Safety Education to Our Community

THE PROJECT

Once again, Gratiot Emergency Services Authority is partnering with Zoe Harrison on a community fire-prevention fundraising initiative.

Over the past several years, we have seen a concerning increase in residential fire-related deaths and injuries. Here in Gratiot County alone, we have experienced four fatalities and one serious burn injury. These tragedies serve as a powerful reminder that fire safety education saves lives.

While every fire department in Gratiot County provides outstanding fire prevention education during Fire Prevention Week each October, we believe these life-saving lessons should continue throughout the entire year.

To help accomplish this, we are raising funds to purchase an ADA-compliant inflatable Fire Safety House. This interactive educational tool can be used at schools, festivals, fire department open houses, community events, and safety programs across Gratiot County. Designed for all ages, it reinforces the message that fire safety education never stops.

OUR FIRE SAFETY COMMITMENT

At Gratiot Emergency Services Authority, we are committed to ensuring fire safety education is accessible to everyone in our community.

The Original ADA-Compliant Inflatable Fire House is designed with wheelchair

accessibility and multiple entry points, creating an inclusive learning environment for individuals of all abilities. Whether used for school programs, community events, or fire department training, this educational tool allows participants to practice life-saving skills in a safe, realistic setting.

WHAT WE WANT TO PURCHASE

Our goal is to purchase The Original ADA-Compliant Inflatable Fire House, an innovative four-room educational smokehouse designed to make fire safety lessons engaging, memorable, and effective.

Throughout the house, participants will encounter easy-to-read fire safety messages featuring large print and colorful illustrations. The realistic home layout allows children and adults alike to learn essential fire prevention practices, identify common household hazards, and practice safe evacuation techniques in an interactive environment.

This durable, high-quality educational resource will serve our community for many years and become an important part of fire safety education throughout Gratiot County.

OUR GOAL

We are seeking to raise $10,000 to purchase this valuable fire safety education tool. With your support, we can provide year-round, hands-on fire safety education that reaches children, families, seniors, and individuals of all abilities. Together, we can help prevent tragedies, increase awareness, and build a safer Gratiot County for generations to come. Every donation, sponsorship, and act of support brings us one step closer to making this vision a reality. Thank you for helping us invest in education that truly saves lives.
